Welcome to the N1RCW Packet Radio Information Site. Located in Sandwich Ma. A recent surge in Local Public Safety Agencies to include Amateur Radio Operators and equipment within there EOC's "Emergency Operations Centers" has sparked a new interest in maintaining a "Digital Network" My main goal is to install/maintain and help "wide area" Stations and RF Nodes so that Local Ares/Races Operations Centers have access to outside agencies in Southeastern Ma. If you maintain a home Packet Radio Station ,your location maybe a useful tool to help with the Local ARES/RACES Network in the Cape Cod Area. Both the N1YHS/BCPRS1 Node in Barnstable and the N1RCW-13/FALM1 Node in Falmouth on packet frequency 145.010MHz have wide area coverage and have the ability to access most "on-Cape and off Cape" Packet Radio Systems On 145.090Mhz, K1CKK/BREW1 in Brewster and N2JWW/N2JWW-7 in Barnstable provide wide area coverage and have the ability to access most "on-Cape and off Cape" Packet Radio Systems These packet stations provide an additional form of contact "Via RF Link" to other Winlink and NTS BBS systems if normal communications were lost. UpDate! We are looking for Ham's in the SE MA Area off Cape that would be interested in maintaining an RF KA-node or Winlink RMS server station for the Local Ares group on Cape Cod to have available incase the resources on Cape Cod are down.
